About Me

If you want to learn about information security and understand it in the simplest terms, you are in the right place. Oh Yes, this blog is about you and only you so that you be aware and appreciate information security to become cyber safe.

This blog explains information security concepts in a very simple manner and focuses on certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, CPISI, Security+, CISM, CCSP, etc.

Who am I?

I’m Mayur, currently working in the largest IT company in India as an Information Security professional for the past 10 years. A certified professional – CISSP, SSCP & ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CPISI. Want to read more about the resume? Just head over to my LinkedIn Profile.

Well, if you want to know about me and why this blog, read on.

This blog came into existence as I came across a difficult situation of explaining what I do and the security concepts to my friends and family. When I started explaining them in technical terms, you can’t really imagine the confused look on their faces. I then decided to write about security so that everyone could understand it and appreciate it. I think that it is extremely difficult to explain concepts in a simple manner. Most security concepts can be found in books or on the Internet today, however, everyone bombards you with fancy technical terms. My motto, on the other hand, is – Simplify.

Enough about the blog? Yeah, I think that too. Well, coming back to me – When I’m not at the computer, I most often spend my free time reading, writing, cooking, and gardening. I am a big foodie and love to eat at different places and try new cuisines. I'm passionate about researching climate change and how will it affect India.

I also enjoy corresponding with readers and speaking at various forums, so if you want to connect with me, you can either:
